Foundation

This class provides the building blocks for good behavior throughout your dog’s life whatever your goal — from good pet behavior through competitive events.  Foundation class gets your dog started with come, polite greeting, sit, down, stay, self-control, leash skills and more.

Pre-Class Recommendations:  Before coming to class, watch these two 5-minute videos:  Part 1, Part 2.  Students who watch these videos progress faster than those who don’t.  The videos cover:

• What to bring to class
• Training two simple behaviors before your first class
• What to do when you get to class
• Preferred equipment:  A plain buckle collar, head halter or harness and a 6-foot leash.  Please no choke collars or Flexi-leads.

Bring to class:

• A small bed or mat
• A chew toy
• A hungry dog (please don’t feed your dog before class)
