B.A. FOR DOGS CLASSES (Level 1 Manners)

We are thrilled to offer Canine Life and Social Skills (C.L.A.S.S.) classes. Our B.A. for Dogs (Level 1) class provides the foundation for anything you want to teach your dog -- anything at all throughout your life together. Our 8-week, C.L.A.S.S. Classes provide behaviors that are relevant to real life -- your life with your dog.

In our B.A. for Dogs Class, you and your dog will learn the fundamentals of training as you teach your dog a variety of behaviors -- behaviors that owners tell us they want most, providing basic manners and polite behavior. Class training includes off-leash Recalls, because we know you don't need to call your dog when he or she is on leash. Our goal is to provide what our students tell us they want most -- a dog that comes when you call when off leash. Behaviors include:

Come when called
Walk without pulling on a leash
Sit
Lie down
Stay
Greet guests politely, without jumping up on them
Calm, polite behavior
Give things up willingly ("Drop it")
And more

You'll learn how to painlessly eliminate undesirable behaviors such as stealing food, jumping on people and more. Most importantly, your dog learns to learn and you learn how to communicate with your dog through fun exercises and activities. The result is a cooperative educational partnership that lasts throughout your dog's life.

Graduates of our B.A. For Dogs Class, receive a graduation certificate--our Associates Degree for Dogs--and an All Dogs Gym bandanna. You may also be ready to take the 1st level Canine Life and Social Skills evaluation that demonstrates both real-life skills and owner understanding of basic dog handling and care. All Dogs Gym is proud to have several of our Instructors qualify among the first 100 C.L.A.S.S. Evaluators in the world. For more information on the C.L.A.S.S. programs, click here.

Our class philosophy and methodology is based on Gail Fisher's critically acclaimed book The Thinking Dog, and students receive a copy of Gail's shorter work, The New Clicker Training Manual, which includes loads of helpful information beyond dog training.
