Adolescent Essentials – Focus on the teenage dog

Adolescence can be a trying time for dog owners, often seeming as if your dog has forgotten everything you’ve taught him.  But teenagers are trainable!  Adolescence is an excellent time to train, improving communication with your dog, and strengthening your dog’s responses and reliability.

This class focuses on:

• Fun games and activities that sharpen your dog’s manners behaviors.
• Improve come when called.
• Cooperative-care training that increases your dog’s comfort being handled by you, your groomer, and your vet.
• Discussions and information on adolescence-specific topics, such as fear periods, how exercise and nutrition affect your dog’s behavior, and lingering puppy issues.

For dogs 5 months to 12 months of age.

Prerequisites: Basic Manners or permission of the instructor.
